Dr. Stuart Lipton
Dr. Lipton was born in Baltimore, Maryland. He grew up with strong family and extended family ties, even attending the same small Catholic school as both parents and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. The good sisters of Saint Casimir were a steady influence. Activities in addition to the expected altar boy were Boy Scouts and piano. As a Boy Scout, he advanced past the rank of Eagle Scout and was active with the Order of the Arrow Scouting National Honor Society.
He graduated from the Advanced College Preparatory Program of the Baltimore Polytechnic Institute, a Math and Science Magnet School. Extracurricular activities included cross country, lacrosse, and keyboard in a rock and roll band.
Stuart Lipton began his path that led to plastic surgery at Johns Hopkins University graduating with a Bachelor of Engineering Science degree.
After Johns Hopkins, Lipton furthered his education at the University of Maryland and then joined the Navy. After detaching from active duty in the Navy, he accepted a residency position in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio. During that period, Dr. Lipton also instructed others in the anatomy at UT SA.
